Unlocking Success: The Power of Consistency through Momentum Mastery

Updated: Mar 30

Several years ago, I stumbled upon an incredible book titled "The Slight Edge" by Jeff Olson. This book fascinated me with its simple yet profound concept—it taught me how we often overcomplicate the journey to success in various areas of our lives. Jeff Olson refers to this principle as 'Slight Edging', which in effect represents the compound effect. I’ve come to define my own version of this concept as "Momentum Mastery." This philosophy emphasizes that consistency, not complexity, leads to success.

Many of us engage in goal setting to do A, B, and C just to reach the survival line. After that initial struggle, there’s a tendency to float along the survival line, barely making progress. What we fail to realize is that there isn’t an elusive secret formula for success waiting around the corner. The truth is, if we simply maintain that A, B, C momentum we developed to get to the survival line, we will inevitably pave the way toward greater success through Momentum Mastery.

The Discipline of Consistency

Imagine each small action you take as a deposit into your future. Whether it’s committing to regular exercise, dedicating time to your business, or prioritizing your healing journey, those little strides add up. It’s akin to rewiring your brain, training a muscle to become stronger over time.

Discipline plays a critical role in this process. When you allow yourself to remain disciplined in your actions and embrace goal setting, you’re actively choosing to invest in your long-term success and self-growth. Every movement, no matter how small, pushes you further along the path of success progression.

The Power of Goal Setting

Let’s consider how this applies practically:

• In Goal Setting for Exercise: Just showing up consistently, even for a short workout routine, will lead to progress that compounds over days, weeks, and months.

• In Business Goal Setting: Dedicating a small chunk of time daily to your projects allows your efforts to multiply significantly over time.

• In Your Healing Process: Each reflection session, each journaling exercise contributes to your overall clarity and growth—this is goal setting in action.

In embracing this journey of Momentum Mastery, remember that it’s not just the grand gestures but the small, consistent efforts that matter.

Conclusion

It’s time to break free from the notion that success is reserved only for those who possess some outrageous talent or breakthrough strategy. The real secret? It’s you, showing up day after day, setting purposeful goals, and refusing to give up on your journey.

So let’s reclaim that feeling of potential and fully embody the idea of Momentum Mastery. Take the leap, start before you're ready, and create consistency in your life. You've got this!

Yours in empowerment,

Jenna
